Research That Powers Real-World Change

At the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC), research is integral to our mission of promoting health equity and environmental justice. Recognizing the complex challenges faced by communities in the San Joaquin Valley, we've adopted a dual research model that combines rigorous scientific inquiry with practical, community-based applications.

Our Dual Approach:

Integrated Program Support: Our research efforts are embedded within CCAC's core programs—CARES, CEEJ, and SJVAir—ensuring that our services are evidence-based and tailored to the specific needs of the communities we serve. This integration allows for real-time feedback and continuous improvement of our interventions.

This model allows us to respond nimbly to urgent environmental threats while shaping long-term systems change—bridging scientific discovery with real-world solutions for the communities we serve.
