Sarah Sharpe, MA

Deputy Executive Director

Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts degree at University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Communications and Latin American Iberian Studies and received her Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish from Brooklyn College as part of the New York City Teaching Fellows program.  

Sarah Sharpe returned to the CCAC team in 2023 as the Deputy Executive Director after serving in executive roles at US EPA Region 9 and the California Public Utilities Commission for the past 6 years.  She will join the executive team leading administrative and program efforts focused on climate equity and environmental policy advocacy and implementation.  She previously led various environmental health and justice programs in the San Joaquin Valley region, including a previous period as CCAC’s Associate Director in 2017. 

Sarah grew up in southeast Fresno and is committed to investing in and serving her community in whatever capacity she can.  She loves connecting people with other people and resources to make their life better, which is something she is excited to do at CCAC.  She also suffers from asthma, along with her partner and one of her sons.
