Community Health Worker II

Jennifer Lopez Torres is a graduate from California State University – Stanislaus, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Promotions and a Minor in Biological Sciences.

Jennifer joined the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC) team as a Community Health Worker to provide services to CARES participants in Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. In her role, Jennifer conducts initial patient outreach, provides asthma education services, and resources to families to help minimize the impact of asthma.

Jennifer grew up in the Central Valley since she was two years old by her immigrant mother. She first-handedly understands the hardships families on the lower socioeconomic status can endure to overcome challenges. Jennifer is passionate about helping communities in need and making personal connections. She is active in the community as a volunteer at Safe Kids Stanislaus to educate caregivers and children about car/passenger safety as a Certified Passenger Safety Technician. During her free time, Jennifer loves to spend quality time with her family and friends, as well as snowboarding in the winters.
