Clean Air is a Right—Not a Privilege

The Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity, improving air quality, and reducing the burden of asthma in underserved communities across Central California

Why Central California Needs You

In Central California, entire communities are living with the health and economic toll of air pollution, climate stress, and environmental injustice. The San Joaquin Valley consistently ranks among the most polluted regions in the United States, with asthma rates among the highest in the country. Children miss school. Parents miss work. Families suffer—simply because of where they live.

At the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC), we’re changing that reality—through care, advocacy, and data-driven solutions.

We serve the heart of California with a heart-centered mission:
Advancing health equity and environmental justice by empowering Central California communities to reduce the burden of asthma.

Changing the norm takes a sustained effort.
Make an impact through giving.

Shared Mission with
Eco Performance Builders

Like Eco Performance Builders, CCAC believes in the power of healthy, energy-efficient homes. While EPB improves indoor air quality and sustainability through high-performance construction and retrofits, CCAC supports families most vulnerable to poor air conditions—many of whom live near highways, agricultural fields, or in older, poorly ventilated homes.

Together, we can close the gap between green building and environmental justice. Your donation helps deliver in-home asthma education, HEPA filters, air purifiers, and advocacy for clean air policies across the Central Valley.

CARES

CCAC’s flagship in-home asthma program provides environmental assessments, asthma education, and remediation supplies—to families in high-risk areas.

Through CalAIM, CCAC supports high-risk Medi-Cal patients by coordinating care that includes environmental and housing assessments.

This research initiative studies the impact of replacing gas stoves with electric induction models and improving kitchen ventilation.

Provides up-to-date air quality information and resources, empowering communities to take action and protect themselves.

This program focuses on community-led climate resilience and advocacy efforts, including heat resiliency and wildfire smoke protection

Works to bring electric vehicle access, education, and clean transportation resources to historically underserved communities.
